Industrial Experience

Design of government residential and hospital buildings

• Design of government residential staff quarters as per directions of the Planning and Design (P&D) section of the Department.

• Design of hospital buildings (Primary Health Centres) as per directions of the P&D section of the Department, and compliance with requirements of the Department of Health and Family Affairs.

• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, and guarantee structural integrity and safety.

• Design for sustainable and energy-efficient buildings, accessibility, and optimising functional space utilisation.

• Design and estimation for repair and retrofitting of existing structures.

Supervision as client (PWD) for geotechnical investigation ​

• Supervised geotechnical field investigations conducted by various private consultants (NABL accredited laboratories)

• Investigations includes boring, sampling, and standard penetration tests.

• Study of the test report and provide recommendations for sub-structure design.

Design of flexible pavements for state and district highways

• Design for flexible pavements based on traffic loads, environmental conditions and construction materials. 

• Conducted subgrade evaluation, material selection, pavement thickness design, and drainage considerations for design.

• Design and cost estimation for RCC box culverts as per MoRTH specifications, for locations requiring water passage on the roadways.

Survey for new roads in remote areas

• Led teams comprising of Junior Engineers (JEs), Surveyors, and Technical Assistants for site visits to remote areas lacking road and general infrastructure.

• Conducted comprehensive surveys to assess the condition and requirements for the construction of double-lane bituminous roads. 

• The task also involved, necessary permits and approvals from local authorities, securing funding for the new project, designing the road layout and specifications, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Finally, presented detailed construction proposals to the headquarters for approval and further action.

Supervision of construction projects

• Oversaw the implementation and timely completion of projects by contractors, that required critical on-site decision making, compliance with standards and codes.

• Tackling inadequate risk management involving heavy machinery, and most importantly addressing delays in execution and workers safety.

• Efficiently manage human resources, materials, financial resources to successfully complete projects within the designated timeframe.

Administrative responsibilities

• As government Gazetted officer (in the capacity of Engineering Officer), served as Presiding Officer in polling booths during General Assembly Elections. 

• Served as Counting Supervisor, for vote count using both Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and ballot papers, during General Assembly Elections. 

• Represented the Department (PWD) in Administrative Review meetings with Ministers and elected public representatives. Presented the Department's achievements and outlined future plans of action, and participated in deliberations in addressing the concerns of the public in regard to the department's service.
